GLA presents the results of the skills needs assessment in transportation and logistics

On 23 September the Georgian Logistics Association (GLA) has conducted the online presentation of skills needs assessment results in transport and logistics. The needs assessment was implemented by GLA with the support of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).

The German Ambassador to Georgia Hubert Knirsch has opened the event. Deputy Minister of Education and Science Tamar Kitiashvili, representatives of transport and logistics companies, industry associations, vocational educational institutions and international organizations have participated at the presentation.

At the online event, the main findings of the skills needs assessment have been presented and needed occupations, skills and competences have been discussed development of which is important to prevent a shortage of human resources in transport and logistics sector. GLA has introduced the recommendations and action plan to support development of dual vocational programs in transport and logistics and improve cooperation between companies and vocational education institutions.
