GLA signs agreement with GIZ on development of dual vocational education in logistics sector

Georgian Logistics Association (GLA) has signed agreement with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) on the development of dual vocational education and training dVET in the Georgian logistics sector. The main objective of the cooperation between GLA and GIZ is to support the coordination, and the implementation of the logistics dTVET programs in Georgia.

Within the project GLA will conduct the TVET needs assessment in logistics sector on yearly basis and support TVET institutions to implement appropriate educational processes and quality assurance system. GLA and GIZ intend to establish the public-private dialogue on dTVET in logistics which will involve relevant stakeholders including logistics and supply chain industry representatives, vocational education and training institutions and relevant governmental authorities.

GLA will also support both dTVET institutions and their partner companies involved in the dVET programs in the development of human resources and adoption of best practices in education management and teaching.

The joint project of GLA and GIZ will actively contribute to the capacity building in logistics sector and help logistics and supply chain industry to address their challenges in the development of human capital.
