GLA started training sessions at NOVA

In the scope of the USAID Industry-led Skills Development Program, the Georgian Logistics Association (GLA) started training sessions at the Georgian construction materials manufacturing and trade company- NOVA. The training contains three main areas: Supply chain and inventory management, warehouse logistics and secondary transportation/delivery planning.  In the training, more than 60 employees  of Nova will be participating.

GLA Chairman met with the CEO of sectoral organization British "Skills for Logistics"

On 28 September, in Bristol (UK) the Chairman of the Georgian Logistics Association Giorgi Doborjginidze met with David Coombes, CEO of “Skills for Logistics”, the British skills organization in transportation and logistics. The main objective of the meeting was to share experiences about vocational education and training (VET) in the British logistics sector and explore opportunities for future cooperation between the two organizations.

Reorganization of Procurement System

TBC Bank wished to reorganize its logistics organizational structure and create separate department for procurement. GLA has provided a cross-functional analysis of the procurement and logistics related business units and provided new organizational structure of the Procurement Department.

Trainings in Logistics and Supply Chain Management

Since 2012 GLA has conducted number trainings for Georgian companies in following modules
